Owner, Elinore Cohen, saw the need for more classes with brilliant, young, fresh, and talented teachers who "TEACH". The intention of Urban Lily Yoga is to give the Valley Community an experience of the amazing teachers the Westside is blessed with everyday. Affording Valley yoga students the space, guidance, and atmosphere to "blossom where they're grounded." Urban Lily Yoga is unique in that it's completely female owned, operated, and taught by LADIES (Yes, that's right we're an all female teaching team). We're an eco-friendly studio with a water filtration system & clean canteens, we use hand towels instead of paper towels, we have Eco Spec Low VOC paint, a low flow toilet, energy efficient lighting we've brought in (to the studio), and all repurposed/refurbished furniture in the retail, office, studio and bathroom. Our yoga specialties are Vinyasa Flow however, we offer Classical yoga in the Iyengar Tradition, Gentle & Therapeutics, Pre & Post Natal, Yoga for Kids, Restoratives: Relax & Renew, and a slew of workshops and events from the vast pool of brilliant teachers in Los Angeles including an ongoing INTRO to YOGA series, Arm Balancing, Inversions, Shoulder Opening and Hip Opening Workshops. Urban Lily Yoga > Christi U For Christi Anne, Practical Happiness is linking the outside world with the practice of Yoga. Yoga, gave her a sense of peace and sanity she had been craving for years. She began teaching in 2008, trained by Yoga Blend and The Kundalini Research Institute. She weaves together a practice of "Practical Happiness", a whole being approach to living well. Always a student of life, she continues to explore a variety of methods, in addition to Yoga, including: Ayurveda, Feng Shui, Art Therapy, Luna Flow and other holistic healing methods. She is passionate about helping people live their lives in a healthy, happy, and harmonious way, she says "Yoga inspired me to let my light shine and I hope it inspires you to do the same."
