was born in 1977 in Buchen, Germany.From 1996 on, she
was studying nutritional sciences at the University Hohenheim, Germany, and the University Reading, Great Britain.After doing experimental thesis work at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, she obtained her diploma in 2002, majoring in Biochemistry of Nutrition and Pharmacology & Toxicology of Nutrition.
By industrial trainings, she
got work experience in different fields of work.Those included projects in the Quality Department of a beverage company, as well as in the Nutrition & Food Law Department at Bestfoods
, Germany.Also, she
had the chance to take part in the European R&D Internship of Procter & Gamble
, Belgium.This programme included the product research as well as the marketing of new product ideas. In 2000, she joined the Nutrition Team of PowerBar Germany as a freelancer.She
was responsible for organising and holding lectures on nutrition and sport in pharmacies, health centres and on sport events.In this function, she
also was invited by the German Team T-Mobile and by various other cycling teams. Before joining Lonza in 2003, she was working at Givaudan, Switzerland, and gained knowledge in the world of flavours.
is responsible for the scientific support of L-Carnitine at Lonza
, and is collaborating with several Universities in terms of research and clinical studies on L-Carnitine.
