No one could possibly complain or disagree with trainer Ty Garrett's decision to accompany Shivers Me, the winner of Saturday's opening day Inaugural Handicap, out of the winners circle and back to the barn as soon as the winner's circle formalities were out of the way.
After the fit he
threw in the paddock a mere 10 minutes before his
winning effort, Shivers Me was probably just as happy to be done with the proceedings as his
connections were just to have the 5-year-old horse in tip-top shape.
In the pre-race details in the SunRay paddock, the Idaho-bred son of Costal Voyage was more than a handful for the people in charge of getting his
tack ready for the race.
