Tucker Frederickson joins WFF Board of Directors
The Wildlife Foundation of Florida (WFF) has named Tucker Frederickson, 71, to its board of directors. Frederickson, a former NFL player, lives in North Palm Beach and is a South Florida rancher and real estate developer.
Frederickson is a native Floridian and has a deep commitment to the people and wildlife conservation in the state, particularly South Florida.
“I truly believe in the mission of the Wildlife Foundation of Florida and look forward to working with it and its partners, Frederickson said. “I am particularly interested in working to rebuild the infrastructure at the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp so that it may continue to bring the world of wildlife conservation and outdoor adventure to South Florida’s young people.
Frederickson was born in Fort Lauderdale, attended South Broward High School and attended Auburn University where he was a star football player. In 1965 the New York Giants snagged him as the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and he played with the team until an injury forced him to retire in 1971. While in New York he worked as an investment banker and gained valuable Wall Street experience. He eventually returned to South Florida where he pursued real estate development, including developing several golf clubs and shopping centers. He is the founder of the Pine Creek Sporting Club in Okeechobee, and a co-managing member of the Brahma Island Club in Kissimmee.
