Duke was one of many people who attended a book signing for Brewer's
works, "Miracles with a Message" and "Soul Invasion," in Burleson on Saturday.A Joshua pastor, Brewer said the event attracted a lot of new interest and old friends.
Duke said he
was told by someone that Brewer
was a pastor at a local church.Duke said he
was a little hesitant at first, but decided to go check it out.
"God did a miracle for him," Brewer
said Chris became clean that day and now leads praise and worship at the church.
Many people come to Brewer's church
with various addictions. Many of them try a 12-step program; others, like Duke's son, "just have miracles happen," Brewer
said. A lot of the people Brewer used to run with are a little surprised to find out he is now a minister. He
has had some of them come into his

feels blessed and fortunate to be able to help them, encourage them and see God reach out to them.
"My testimony is not that I did bad things. My testimony is Jesus," Brewer
said."If I can get through this, anybody can have victory over this."Brewer
said that people should not think that just because they did bad things at one time that it settles them for life."That doesn't settle anything."he
said."There is still hope.God Almighty can change life in one day."
Duke's wife, Suzanne, said Brewer
