Gillette Game Warden Troy Achterhof says the 3-year-old male bear will be rereleased into the wild.
The Gillette News-Record reports that Achterhof says it wasn't clear where the bear came from or how it wound up near Rozet, just east of Gillette. He says the bear appears to be in good health.

Troy Achterhof, north Gillette game warden, said nothing was removed from any of the carcasses.
"Based on evidence from the scene, it appears that these animals were simply shot and left to spoil," Achterhof said. "Poachers like these take away opportunities for law abiding sportsmen and everyone who values Wyoming's wildlife."
A cash reward is available for evidence leading to the arrest and conviction of any person involved in this crime. Those with information can remain anonymous.
