Speaking on NewsTalk 1350 Wednesday morning, White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner said crews are doing some minor remodeling at the former jail facility off Helen Highway and will move the remaining non-judicial offices there.
"Our hope and desire is that we will be able to provide better service to our citizens, kind of have a one stop shop.
You'll be in the same general area.
And what that does, we are able to utilize space that is there in good condition and it allows room in the existing courthouse to keep it for judicial purposes," Turner
said planning and economic development offices recently moved to the upper lever of the Mauney Building on Helen Highway.
