Travis Moore completed his 1st season as Wide Receivers coach for the CFL expansion Ottawa RedBlacks in 2014, his 6th season coaching at the professional level. The Santa Monica, California native begain his CFL coaching career in 2009 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (running backs) before moving to coach the wide receivers for the B.C. Lions for three seasons (2010-2012) and for one season with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2013.
Moore began his coaching career as a guest coach with the NFL's New Orleans Saints in 2007 before being named wide receivers coach for the AFL's New Orleans VooDoo. He was also a guest coach at the Montreal Alouettes' training camp in 2008.
As a player, Moore broke into the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders in 1994, following his collegiate days at Ball State. In his rookie season, Moore played five games with the Stampeders, catching seven passes for 62 yards. He then joined the New Orleans Saints of the NFL in 1995, before returning to Calgary in 1996. He spent seven more seasons with the Stampeders and won two Grey Cups. He was named a CFL All-Star in three straight seasons, starting in 1999. Moore led the league in receiving yards (1,198) in 1999 and in the 2000 season, Moore finished tied for the CFL crown with 15 touchdown receptions. Over his illustrius CFL career he scored 79 career touchdowns and finished with 9,930 receiving yards.
