Travers is the Director of Business Development for EDF Energy's
Customer Branch which supplies gas and electricity to over 5 million UK households.Travers was appointed when the London Electricity Group
and SWEB acquired Seeboard Plc
in 2002, forming the company which is today known as EDF Energy
is responsible for the design and implementation of product innovations in the retail energy market and the fostering of key partnerships including affinity partners.He
is also responsible for ensuring that customer experience for Residential and SME Markets is in line with the defined brand values and the performance of customer acquisitions.
Travers introduced the Nectar loyalty scheme to EDF Energy's
5m customers in 2003 with over 30% of the company's customers actively participating in the scheme.This won EDF Energy the Utility Industries Marketing Initiative of the year in 2004.Travers was more recently involved in EDF Energy's renewal of their contract with Nectar to evolve the customer proposition and ensure the offer remains fresh by embedding Nectar throughout the business, incorporating it into new product design to become an integral part of the overall Marketing Programme.
Previous responsibilities and roles that Travers
has held have included; Sales and Marketing Director of EDF Energy's Residential and SME Markets, Marketing Manager of the Seeboard Superstore retail outlets, Sales Management roles for the same division and previous retail management appointments held within both the Littlewoods Group and Argos Plc.
