Tony is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins. He joined the Department in September, 1997 and has over fifteen years of healthcare administrative experience in financial operations, operations, managed care contracting, physician recruitment and healthcare marketing. He serves on the Leadership Council of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators (AOA) as Sr. Member-at-Large.
Prior to joining the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Mr. Etzel worked in the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and The Johns Hopkins Oncology Center.
Mr. Etzel has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University.
