A recent exhibition of music, poetry and paintings was the first of its kind to be held at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) and featured poetry written by Glamorgan Emeritus Professor Tony Curtis
Common Sense is a collaborative body of work, combining music composed by Mervyn Butch and played by RWCMD postgraduate students, poetry written by renowned poets Grahame Davies and Glamorgan Emeritus Professor Tony Curtis, and landscape paintings created by Gigi Jones.
The music became more sombre and atmospheric before stopping to allow Professor Tony Curtis from the Faculty of Business and Society to recite the first verse (please see the extract below),
'This is where and when it begins: a broken wall, a gate post and then, beyond, the places where the earth has been cleft...'
added: "The Common Sense project has taken me geographically and artistically into new areas.
