Oxford City Manager Tommy Marrow saw no good news in the prospect of having to finance a stormwater management program.
said the new backup waterline from the regional system in Henderson is half-completed, and the city is approaching the point when it can start on a $9 million upgrade of its sewage treatment plant.
As for the major housing development planned for the Bode property northeast of the city, Marrow
said the developers are ready but moving slowly, waiting for an improved economy, and the city has not started work on the sewer extension to the site.
As for recreation, Marrow
said the new skateboard park is well used, as is the recently upgraded Granville Street Park.
