Tommy is a longtime member of IHFRA, as well as the Tri-State Home Furnishings Association and the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association.
Tommy has been very active in Tri-State, serving as President and Vice-President of that chapter before he was recently elected as Chairman of the Board.
Tommy was Vice-President of the Greater New York Home Furnishings Association before it merged with Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association.
Currently Leflein serves as Vice-President of the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association in addition to his duties at the Tri-State Home Furnishings Association.

The Liveright award is the highest honor for outstanding contributions to the furniture industry presented by the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association
furniture career began in 1974 while working in his
family furniture store in New Jersey, Thomas Furniture Company
In 1976 he became a sales representative for Thomasville Furniture for New York and New Jersey territory.
He served as a sales representative for Pennsylvania House from 1983 - 1993, and for Rowe Furniture from 1993 - 2003.
He is also a Past Vice President of Benchcraft/Berkline and Past Vice-President of Lifestyle California.
Tommy is currently a sales representative for Lexington Home Brands.
Leflein is an active member of The Golden Slipper Club and Charity of Philadelphia.
The Golden Slipper
sends under-privileged children to summer camp, feeds the poor, and works with the homeless and elderly.
In addition to working with The Golden Slipper, Tommy is a member of the City of Hope Executive Board for the Northeast.
Tommy is married to Barbara Leflein, owner of Leflein Associates, one of the larger research companies in America.
spends lots of his
weekends riding his
Harley Davidson motorcycle throughout the New York and New Jersey mountains.
