Tom Ficara, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, has a long list of accomplishments in the new electronic media and related fields.A 1972 graduate of Carson Newman (TN) College, Ficara was the first Promotions Director of Athletics at Temple University, a position that now exists at most schools.In 1974 he established the first national commercial cable television network, Continental Communications.From 1973-79 he provided a sports channel to cable systems nationwide and during that time negotiated the SAG-AFTRA experimental waivers that allowed TV ads to appear on cable television.In association with the Katz Media Group and Young and Ruubicam advertising agency, he produced the first live national commercial cablecast in 1975.In 1982, Ficara produced the first successful Pay Per View programming while becoming the nation's first Coordinator of Electronic Media at Louisiana State University.Today, almost all major colleges have that position.In 1984 he consulted to Video Techniques, who produced the first live national Pay Pew View, Wrestlemania.In 1989 he established the first budget line sports home video label, producing more than 500 titles selling over 10 million units throughout the 1990's.In 2006 he established

Tom Ficara has been President of TVS since 1990, when he acquired the company from Corinthian Broadcasting Company. He produced the first live commercial cablecast in the USA in 1976, a World Hockey Association game. He produced the first ongoing PPV service, TigerVision for Louisiana State University in the 1980's and, through Video Techniques, a company he has since acquired, he served as a consultant for the initial Wrestlemania PPV show. In 1997, he produced and distributed the first world wide internet special, the 30th Anniversary of the Whisky A Go Go, for Rolling Stone Magazine.
