Tom Castor, Senior Pastor His greatest spiritual influence. Tom was born to believing parents who were diligent to expose him to the gospel, and he entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at an early age. His grandfather, who had a deep love for the Word of God, was the greatest spiritual influence on his life and instilled in him a love for scripture and a determination to follow Christ with absolute abandon.

As newlyweds, Tom and Lee worked at a Bible camp in northwestern Ontario; here, they had their first opportunity to work among Canada's native people.

In 1984 Tom began graduate work in linguistics and accepted a pastorate in Muncie Indiana. He received an MA in Linguistics in 1989 from Ball State University, graduating with academic honours. Following his graduate work, Tom accepted a pastorate with a Baptist General Conference church in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. In 1998 he accepted a call as Adult Ministries Director at Grant Memorial. Tom became the Senior Pastor in September of 2002.
Around the world … and then again. Tom has ministered in Senegal, West Africa, Hong Kong and many remote northern communities from Whitehorse in the Yukon to James Bay in Quebec. He has also taught pastors in Vietnam in a co-operative program for Canadian Baptist Seminary.

He was the founding editor and publisher of LightPath Journal, a discipleship magazine for the First Nations of Canada. That same year, he accepted a call as Adult Ministries Director at Grant Memorial. Tom became the Senior Pastor in September of 2002.
