is Ringmaster of cattleAXE's three-ring circus, and although he
is the least vocal during the tunes, he's
the one chattering away in-between ... your proverbial "host for the evening". Tom's
musical career started at 15, playing in every band and bar that would have him until he
reached "legal" age.By 18, Tom
had become a fixture in the local/regional music scene.Tom
first hit the road in 1983, wreaking havoc on the eastern seaboard with no remorse, and 20 years later is still banned from many hotels!
In 1987, a bug was placed in Tom's ear about two brothers in South Carolina needing a bass player for a band named Jackyl
auditioned and was hired on-the-spot.
...Tom remains with Jackyl through more Gold and Platinum releases (along with TWO Guinness World Records) headlining their own tours until 2000, when he reached a turning point in his life and decided that the Hills of Tennessee looked better to him than the Betty Ford Center. Tom formed Ultra-heavy N2O in 2000, but the group disbanded, leaving Tom temporarily without an outlet for his music and wit.
This is when Al steps in, telling him " I know this guitar player.... he's
like the bastard child of Vince Gill and Randy Rhoads......." Unbelievable as it seems, personalities meshed, the music was pretty interesting, and cattleAXE
was born! Tom is an inspiration to many musicians in his hometown, and proof that no matter where you're from, if you want something badly enough, talent, hard work, and persistence can get it for you without selling your soul to some flesh peddler on Hollyweird and Vine.
