Todd Swartz of the Menomonie Police Department.
Both young men are being held in jail awaiting a bond hearing set for 1:15 p.m. Friday. Swartz reported that witnesses said there was a "verbal altercation" inside the Log Jam Tavern between Simon and McGlasson and Britton. "Many of the bar patrons, including McGlasson and Britton, eventually left through the front door and later congregated outside the tavern," according to Swartz. "The Menomonie Police Department will continue to work closely with UW-Stout and the Dunn County district attorney's office during this ongoing investigation until all parties involved are held accountable and brought to justice for this tragic incident," said Swartz. He said there may be other arrests.
