Todd Johnson, the company's vice president of operations, said there are three basic steps to recovering information from a damaged drive."First thing, we'd take (the hard drive) into a 'clean room,' which allows us to open them up and clean them out," Johnson said.Then, Johnson said, the computer experts would work through any mechanical failures that the damage caused.Finally, they'd see if they could rebuild parts of the drive to see if the data could be recovered."The sooner we get the drive, the greater the likelihood that it can be saved," Johnson said.
