Todd Erkel assists higher education clients, working with enrollment-marketing and admissions teams to deliver great Web sites, e-marketing and search engine marketing campaigns for universities.
Todd's higher education background includes more than 15 years of strategic communication and enrollment marketing experience. As a consultant for higher education clients, Todd has been part of award-winning educational marketing campaigns, from initial search through yield. He has worked on re-branding efforts, viewbooks, ad campaigns, admissions, alumni magazines, Web sites, and related recruitment materials for a range of clients.
Todd's work has been recognized with more than a dozen Admissions Marketing Advertising Awards. His list of past and present higher education clients includes: Bethany College, Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, North Central College, Robert Morris University, St. Francis University, University of Maryland and University of Pittsburgh.
Early in his career, Todd was part of the editorial team that guided the University of Pittsburgh's alumni publication from a newsprint tabloid to an award-winning four-color magazine. "Pitt Magazine" was named a finalist for CASE Sibley Award for the nation's best alumni magazine. Todd won several individual CASE Gold Awards as well.
Todd has been interviewed for print, TV and radio. He can speak to higher educational audiences on a variety of topics: the challenge of recruiting first-generation students and families; repositioning alumni magazines in an electronic age; and enrollment strategies for maintaining gender balance.
Todd holds a Bachelor's degree in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
