A born entrepreneur, Todd Cartner experienced the challenges of starting a business first hand.
When a small discount card company approached him to help launch their site in September, 2006, he brought the passion and entrepreneurial spirit to that project as if he was helping a good friend pursue their dream. One Spot Media grew out of Todd's home. His business, Todd Cartner Design Studio, had grown to the point where he could no longer handle his clients alone. While he used freelance designers from time-to-time, he wanted a more stable team to bring new ideas to the table. Todd represents the energy and good times shared with close friends. He was adamant that every client should be treated as a friend. Our Team Todd Cartner is the founder and Creative Director of One Spot Media. He attributes his success to a solid foundation in customer service. From the young, after-school age of 16 he worked on a farm and in a nursing home and didn't become a stranger to hard work. This training was reinforced as he worked his way through his early years in the restaurant industry and quickly obtained the skills of "the customer always comes first".

Todd Cartner, public information officer for Horry County Fire Rescue, said the cot in each of its 15 ambulances can handle a maximum 650 pounds, and a special "stair chair," for moving a patient in multilevel sites, accommodates up to 500 pounds.
Each piece of equipment, costing more than $3,000 each, fulfills state Department of Health and Environmental Control requirements for a transport or emergency ambulance, Cartner said. He said the stretcher, for example, is wider and more durable than models replaced six years ago, putting crew members and patients at lower risk of injury. The stair chair gives rescue personnel another tool to move a person in tight quarters in a mobile home or down several floors "so the weight's on the steps, not on the EMT," Cartner said.

No one was injured in the blaze and its cause is under investigation, said spokesman Todd Cartner.
He said fire investigators spent Wednesday morning searching the building for clues about what started the fire.
