Tina Basel, regional perinatal coordinator for MPAC, explains that the new support group provides a regular forum for parents to share their feelings of loss, to learn from other parents, and to consider coping strategies that have brought comfort to others.
has created a brochure that provides information about the support group, contact information for other area resources, and suggested reading material.
says, "Even if someone decides that he
does not want to attend a support group meeting, the brochure offers ideas of where they can get help for themselves and other members of the family.
The brochures are available at the Birthing Center at The Memorial Hospital
at Easton, county health departments, and at physicians' offices.
