Tim Jaeger, Co-Founder & CEO
...
Tim Jaeger Studied Fine Art at the Ringling College of Art and Design, Jaeger decided to remain in the resort coastal town of Sarasota after earning his bachelors of arts, where he now works and paints. Jaeger's work is featured across the country, but he's more than an artist. Though poised with paintbrush in hand, his creative mind expands into the business and politics of Sarasota's visual arts. As CEO and co-founder of sarasotavisualart.com and co-founder and president of local arts collective SARTQ, Jaeger works toward engaging the community and fostering new artistic partnerships. regeajstudio.com

Tim Jaeger, manager and gallery director at Canvas, said the event draws a diverse mix of Sarasotans and has raised more than $10,000 for the Community AIDS Network.
Jaeger said he told his workers in September to make sure the drag queens tone down their language. Now that they will not be using the megaphone, it should not be an issue, he said.
Jaeger said neighbors are more upset by the nature of the event.
"Sarasota for the most part is pretty conservative," Jaeger said.

Artwork can help a night out become a social event, says Tim Jaeger, director at Canvas Café's art gallery.

"I try to create things that are on a common ground and that people can relate to," Jaeger said.
One of his favorite subjects to achieve this goal, Jaeger said, is roosters.
His renditions of roosters grace not only some of the walls at Canvas Café, but also Derek's Culinary Casual in Sarasota, and a restaurant in Kentucky where Jaeger has been house artist for about five years.
"I see a rooster as an unusual way to connect with people," Jaeger said.

It's a new show running Jan. 10-19, put on by Alfstad & Productions and curated by TIm Jaeger, the assistant curator at the Selby Gallery at Ringling College of Art & Design.
Early Tuesday morning I had the chance to have a short conversation with Sam Alfstad, owner of Alfstad & Productions, and Tim Jaeger about what the Ice House is, and the impetus for the new exhibition.
...
Assistant Curator of the Selby Gallery, an arts staple in Sarasota since 1986, Tim formed the basis for this show in his own experiences working with, and thinking about, the faculty at Ringling College. He began to think about the people he worked with, and specifically those with children and asked himself the question, "What do familial relations mean" when it comes to the creation of art. How does the parent influence the child? With 10 artists total, Tim has created an "exhibition that unraveled the story" in a multitude of mediums. The show, as Tim put it, aims to give you a "greater understanding of not just art, but family."
