Michael Neumann, John Flanagan, Patti Kurnell, Marc Gibson, Tim Birnie, Angela Hoyos This residential division was established by Tim Birnie six years ago after learning about a program called CurrentSAFE, from a Master Electrician in Pittsburgh. "I was introduced to the Electrical Hazards Detection (EHD) program called CurrentSAFE which is an innovative approach to home electrical safety" Tim says, "After reviewing the program and its outstanding results, I could see that it provided an excellent way to help homeowners protect themselves against potential electrical hazards that are common in so many Ontario homes." Tim Birnie was the first person to introduce the EHD program here in the province. When Tim Birnie decided to launch this residential division all those years ago, he knew he had to enlist a team of professionals that would be able to grow this service and bring awareness to the importance of an electrical inspection. On September 29th, Tim - along with Angela Hoyos, Marketing, and Frank Cohn, nominator- was present at the Living Arts Centre, in Mississauga, to receive the Consumer and Home Safety Award. The ESA win is still very surreal for the entire team. "Receiving this award just reinforces what I believed since the day I went to Pittsburgh and that is that we're on the right path and that we're doing the right thing," Tim says.
