Tim Armitt: Technical Director, Level 3 Instructor and Consultant
Tim joined Lavender International in 1992 after gaining NDT experience working on a wide product base including nuclear, petrochemical, power generation and aerospace components.
Since joining Lavender International Tim has attained ASNT Level 3 qualifications in UT, MT, PT, ET & VT and is also a PCN Level 3 in ten categories including TOFD and PA, for each of which he acts as a PCN examiner.
has also gained Fellowship of the British Institute of NDT
heads a team specialising in the Advanced Applications Centre
is continually developing new programmes of training in support of customers.
Courses developed range from testing automotive spot welds, chemical plant corrosion inspection, oil field pipework erosion, weld integrity assessments and composite materials testing.
More recently this has focussed on TOFD and Phased Array applications including training, examinations and capability studies.

expertise as a Level 3 Applications Engineer devising techniques for inspection of geometrically challenging components.

The Houston office offers training courses in Manual UT, TOFD, PA, ACFM and computerised UT offline data analysis including TOFD and PA combined and pipeline girth weld data analysis.
These courses are scheduled throughout the year in the Houston office.
