to counsel privately-held clients on matters of corporate structuring, governance and compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.

negotiates mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and handles diverse stages and forms of business financing.
Tom is an active member of the firmâ€™s Energy Industry Team and has extensive experience representing natural resources and electric power generation companies.

He is a member of Leadership Cleveland and the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
Tom has served on boards of directors for several privately held enterprises as well.

Tom served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970.
He began his tenure with Calfee in 1973, and from 1979 to 1981 served as law director and chief administrative officer for the City of Cleveland.
Tom currently serves on the firmâ€™s executive and management committees and was elected co-chairman of the firm in 2005.
