Thomas Stagnitta was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York He attended William Grady Vocational High School and the State University of New York at Farmingdale, where he studied Automotive Technology.

In 1969 Tom
wife, Geraldine, moved to Islip Terrace, Long Island where they still reside today.
They have raised two children; Lisa and Tommy Jr. who are both married and have gifted them with four grandchildren.
thirty-eight year career at Con Edison
held many positions with increasing responsibility.
Tom began as a Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator; moved on to Auto Mechanic, Shop Foreman, General Operating Supervisor, Quality Assurance Specialist, Manager of Operation and Manager of Fleet Maintenance.
While at Con Ed, Tom
has been responsible for the development of numerous innovative programs: Just In Time Parts System, Bucket Truck Inspections and Overhauls, Natural Gas Conversion Vehicles, Emergency Response Fleet.
worked with the Con Ed Engineering Department to design and implement the use of new utility vehicles.
has won the Con Ed Service Incentive Award on three occasions.
In 1988 The Automotive Service Industry Association
as ASIA,/ASE "World Class Technician" and Tom
was inducted into The Automotive Hall Of Fame
, in Midland, Michigan.
In addition, Tom
holds New York City and New York State unlimited Crane Licenses.

as an expert in the field.
Tom joined the Society of Fleet Supervisors in 1971 and continues to be an active Member.
He has served as an officer on the Executive Board and chaired several committees.
owes much of his
success in the automotive industry to the Society and its Members.
He was elected to Life Member in December 1999 upon his retirement from Con Edison.
