Thomas Leake

...
Pastor Tom Leake entered into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministry of Inter-Varsity while in college, where he met his wife and lifelong friend, Susan. After graduating, Tom taught in Christian schools for 10 years, served in his local church in a number of capacities, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Capital Bible Seminary. Later, he and his family moved to Southern California while he attended The Master's Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1997. While in seminary, the Lord impressed on Tom the need for planting strong Bible-preaching churches-particularly in Maryland-so he returned there in the summer of 1997 to help establish Hope Bible Church along with a core group of believers. Tom testifies that he has truly seen the Lord work in planting Hope Bible Church, growing its leadership, deepening the walk of God's people, and even extending the church's influence in the region.
...
Tom is always amazed that the Lord can transform sinners such as himself, to bring glory to His matchless name!
Tom and Susan have four blessed children: Hannah, Grace, Faith, and Josiah.
...
God gave them a burden to help plant a church like this that spread even to Pastor Leake while he was in seminary.
