Fr. Dragga graduated from Borromeo Seminary in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Ordained in 1983, Fr. Dragga received his Master of Divinity from Saint Mary Seminary. He served as the parochial vicar at St. Leo the Great Parish in Cleveland from 1983-1988 and at St. John Vianney Parish, Mentor, from 1988-1993. In 1993 he received his Doctorate from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio and joined the Pastoral Theology and Field Education Department of Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology. In July of 1996, Fr. Dragga was named the seventh President-Rector of Borromeo Seminary. He is the President of the College Seminary while continuing as a professor of Pastoral Theology at Saint Mary Seminary and an adjunct faculty member of John Carroll University. Reverend Thomas M. Dragga, D.Min., president-rector of Borromeo Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio, has been named Director of Education and Human Formation at Saint Luke Institute, effective July 1, 2013. He will be responsible for the Institute's initiatives around education and human formation for priests and religious.
The president and CEO of Saint Luke Institute, said, "Fr. Dragga is a gifted leader and priest. An experienced seminary rector who has continued to be engaged in parish ministry throughout his priesthood, he has a deep understanding of our continuing formation needs today and the importance of healthy human formation as the foundation for us and those we serve. I am very pleased to have him take on this new role with Saint Luke Institute."
"I truly believe formation is a lifelong process for those engaged in ministry. I am honored and humbled to be invited to work with men and women in service to the Church who are searching ways to renew and revitalize their commitment to living out God's will in their life," said Fr. Dragga.
The appointment of Fr. Dragga is part of a broader expansion into education by Saint Luke Institute.

About Fr. Dragga
Father Tom Dragga is a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland. He joins Saint Luke Institute on July 1, 2013 as Director of Education and Human Formation following 17 years as President-Rector of Borromeo Seminary in Cleveland.
A native of Maple Heights, Ohio, he graduated from Borromeo Seminary, the college seminary for the Diocese of Cleveland, in 1979. After theological studies at St. Mary Seminary, he was ordained a priest in 1983 and began his work in parish ministry.
In 1988, while serving in a parish, he was named associate director of the Field Education Department of St. Mary Seminary. In 1993 he received his doctorate from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and joined the Pastoral Theology Department of St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology. After becoming rector in 1996, he continued to serve as a professor of pastoral theology and homiletics at St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology and as an adjunct faculty member of John Carroll University.
Fr. Dragga also has served as the Interim Director of the Office of Continuing Education and Formation of Ministers for the Diocese of Cleveland. He is a popular speaker locally and nationally on a variety of topics, including Church leadership, pastoral life and stewardship.

Fr. Tom Dragga, a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, rector of Borromeo Seminary College and faculty member at St. Mary Seminary will be released from his diocesan responsibilities to take a staff position at St. Luke Institute in Silver Spring, MD. Bishop Richard Lennon was approached by Monsignor Edward Arsenault, president and CEO of St. Luke to consider allowing Fr. Dragga to join their staff, according to a report in Catholic Universe Bulletin (Feb. 15, 2013), the diocesan newspaper. Fr. Tom Dragga, a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, rector of Borromeo Seminary College and faculty member at St. Mary Seminary will be released from his diocesan responsibilities to take a staff position at St. Luke Institute in Silver Spring, MD.
