Thomas K. Brueckner, CLTC, is a nationally recognized financial educator and market historian, published author, radio talk show host, seminar speaker, national columnist and mentor to other advisors, and an insurance advisor to more than 670 of his own successfully retired clients, now spread throughout 21 states and seven countries. Thom and a staff of (now) 6 in two offices have grown his personal book of indexed annuities business alone to nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in just 13 yearsâ€"all without a single consumer complaint, in any regulatory jurisdiction, in over 25 years in private practice.
Thom has taught strategies in Safe Money Solutions at colleges, conference centers, retirement planning workshops, and NAIFA chapter meetings from Augusta, Maine to Ontario, CA. His ideas and articles have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, National Underwriter, Senior Market Advisor, Broker World, Agent Journal, New Hampshire Magazine, and The Union Leader, as well as dozens of other national and regional publications. New Hampshire retirees have long enjoyed "The Safe Money Hour with Thom Brueckner on WFEA 1370-AM in Manchester, as a source of insight, commentary, and balanced information, as well as Thom’s occasional interviews with industry insiders and local experts in estate planning and taxation.
Since 2002, Thomas has been an approved member ofThe Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and has qualified for Top of the Table 11 of the last 12 years. Thom has also been an approved member of the National Ethics Association (formerly the National Ethics Bureau) since 2004.
Thomas and his staff are extremely proud to have been awarded the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the small business category by theNH Better Business Bureau (2010.) This statewide award recognizes one small business each yearâ€"across all industriesâ€"that exceeds all others in their exceptionally high standards, results, and ethical business practices. Thom and his team continue to enjoy a flawless A+ rating with the NH BBB.
In 2011, Thom was named a top five national finalist of Senior Market Advisor magazine’s Advisor of the Year award. This prestigious industry award recognizes top producers who are successful, trustworthy, committed, ethical, community-focusedâ€"and most importantly, live by the motto of always putting their clients’ interests first.
In addition, Thomas is also a past recipient of the NAIFA Quality Award for outstanding client service (2011, 2012, 2013), as well as theBusiness Excellence Award in Professional Services given by the New Hampshire Business Review (NHBR, 2011), a category made up of the top law firms, accounting firms, insurance agencies, and brokerage firms in NH regardless of size.
Thomas and his firm are supporters of the New Hampshire Food Bank, the recipient of the proceeds of Senior Financial Resources’ Annual Christmas Charity event. Additionally, they substantially sponsor Client Family members each year in the Walk to Defeat ALS (having lost a beloved client to the disease several years ago), The 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving(M.A.D.D.).
Mr. Brueckner’s company also donates to the Wounded Warrior Projectâ€"a charity close to Mr. Brueckner’s heart, as his two sons both served proudly during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Brueckner is now an active member on the Advisory Board of his local chapter of Veterans Count, launched seven years ago in partnership with Easter Seals of NH, the NH National Guard, and the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Veterans Count provides a wide array of services to families and individuals before, during and after deployment which include counseling, employment assistance, child care, and emergency financial assistance. Veterans Count has served more than 2,000 families with critical care needs since 2007.
