Jan. 19, 2007 (SmartPros) > The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) announces that its long-time president and CEO Thomas M. Berry Jr., is retiring effective April 30, 2007, after leading the organization for 30 years. Joining the VSCPA in March 1977, Berry has held the top position longer than any previous executive and has made a significant impact in the growth of the organization and the overall success of the CPA profession, the association said in a statement."Tom has been a tireless, gifted leader for the VSCPA and CPA profession for more than a quarter of a century, and he will be greatly missed," said VSCPA Board Chairman Bradley Roof.

for years to come." To recognize Berry's enormous contribution to the VSCPA and the CPA profession, the VSCPA Educational Foundation has established the Thomas M. Berry Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund in his honor.
