Bios - Tom Bartiromo
Tom Bartiromo is the Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the Saint Barnabas Health Care System (SBHCS) and the Chief Information Officer for Livingston Services Corporation.
In this capacity he
sets the technology direction in support of a shared vision of what IT should be in relation to the mission of the Health System and the communities they serve to deliver clinical and service excellence.
Tom brings more than 17 years of professional experience and "can-do" attitude in Business and Technology Information Systems, Teaching, Mentoring, Project Management and Management to his current position.
Since joining SBHCS in 1998 Tom has used his passion, communication skills and drive to distinguish himself in a variety of high-profile initiatives and management level positions.

He is a board member of the New Jersey chapter of HIMSS promoting the adoption and use of HIT in New Jersey and founding co-chair of the NJ-HIMSS Security, Privacy and Compliance Taskforce.
Tom is also a founding member and lead for the development of the New Jersey Health Care Innovation Center creating a platform for continuous HIT innovation to occur in the state leveraging hospital, physician practice, university, business partner and state and federal collaboration and support.
He volunteers time to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) as part of their 'education beyond curriculum' program to speak with and mentor high school and college students and is a board member of the NJIT College of Computing Science (CCS).
Prior to joining SBHCS, Tom spent two years with IBM Global Services as a systems integration consultant.
Preceding that, he spent five years with the Sisters of Charity Health System in New York, supporting the vision and values of that hospital system.
