Friday, May 13, 2011, Catholic Citizens Forum will Host Fr. Thomas Aschenbrener
Fr. Thomas Aschenbrener, a native of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies/Speech Communication and Rhetoric and a minor in Art History.
During his studies at the University, he worked as a Youth and Family Specialist at various runaway shelters and crisis intervention centers for juvenile delinquents.
began to work with the youth and their families, he
experienced God's call to serve the Church.
On May 24, 2003, he
was ordained to the priesthood by Francis Cardinal George.
He completed his studies in theology and philosophy and received the degrees of Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology and Master of Divinity.
is currently working on his
Sacred Theological Licentiate in Systematics with an emphasis on Marriage and Family.
has previously served at St. Luke's in River Forest and St. Alphonsus in Chicago.
Currently, Fr. Aschenbrener serves as an Associate Pastor at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago and is an Advisory Board Member to the Respect Life Office in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
is the author of One in Christ: The Path to Heaven through the Sacrament of Marriage and One in Christ: A Spiritual Workout to Strengthen Your Marriage.
Through these marriage programs, Fr. Aschenbrener
creatively and purposefully confronts the culture of death by presenting God's liberating truth on marriage and family life.
