Greater Waterbury YMCA - NU Foundation Supports YMCA

“The YMCA is an important part of many communities, across America and throughout Connecticut,” said Theresa Hopkins-Staten, chairman of the board and president of the Northeast Utilities Foundation. “The NU Foundation is proud to be associated with the YMCA in Waterbury and we look forward to working with this exceptional organization in the years ahead.”
The Greater Waterbury YMCA’s capital campaign will fund renovations and facility enhancements at 136 West Main Street in Waterbury as well as support improvements at Camp Mataucha in Watertown. The campaign will also help fund renovation work on the YMCA’s large pool, gymnasium, and locker rooms.
Hopkins-Staten is also the director of community relations and programs for The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P), a subsidiary of NU.
