Tess Stumpf hails from Allentown, Pennsylvania where she began her first year of her undergraduate degree at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
There, she was a member of the University's professional dance theater company performing the lead female role in the production of Dracula.
After transferring to Temple was when Tess
became active in the world of choreography.
In her last semester at Temple she became a peer mentor guiding freshman students and held the position of production manager for the BFA Senior Show of 207 Too Many.
Upon graduation in January 2011 she
was first in Temple University's Boyer College's history to receive the BFA Alumni Award, as a dance student, for unusual talent and high scholastic success.
Entering her fifth year she serves as a choreographer and teacher for Step by Step Dance Center and Ovations Academy of Dance in Northeast Philadelphia.
Tess was also a dance party entertainer with Cutting Edge Entertainment of Huntingdon Valley and danced with Philadelphia based company Dangerous and Movin'.
She has worked as a volunteer assistant teacher with the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School of Bethlehem, PA and served as an intern with Headlong Dance Theater and Performance Institute in their marketing and database organization.
She's also held the position as the administrative assistant of Wabi Sabi Dance Company of Philadelphia.
Tess holds certifications in primary aerobics from the American Aerobic Association International, mat Pilates from Body Precision in Rosemont, and studied injury rehabilitation with Dr. Diamond's Podiatry.
has also studied makeup artistry at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute of Philadelphia
Now in her
early stages of post-graduation she
continues to explore the world of choreography.
