Terry Maybin, Director of the non-profit childcare service Tomorrow's Hope, claims there are children throughout the county who stay in daycare for 11 hours."I think that's too long for any child to be away from their parent," she says.If Tomorrow's Hope were open on weekends, Maybin says some parents would send their children for another 11 hours. She believes 9 hours is enough time for a young child to be away from a parent.
