Chief Lipinski was appointed and serves as the 1st Vice President of MABAS-IL Executive Board.
numerous job responsibilities and duties, Chief Lipinski reports to the MABAS-IL President and acts in their capacity as needed.
Additionally, he acts as the functional liaison to the MABAS-IL CEO in coordinating activities with the operations, logistics, plans, and administrative specialists where Executive Board policies are involved.

In 2005 he
was appointed as one of the original Technical Experts for the Intrastate Mutual Aid System (IMAS) committee sponsored by the International Association of Fire Chiefs
In 2007, he was appointed to the position of Director of Illinois Task Force 1 (IL-TF1) Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) team within MABAS-IL.
Chief Lipinski served as part of the first-in command team to the Utica tornado in Utica, Illinois.
Further, he served as part of the command team which responded with the first deployment contingent from MABAS-IL to Hurricane Katrina.
During his career, he has served two terms as Director on the Executive Board of the Illinois Fire Chief's Association (IFCA) and is the Political Action Committee Treasurer for the IFCA.
was one of the founding members of the Cook County Chief's Association
is currently the Fire Chief of the Oak Forest Fire Department
in MABAS-IL Division 24.
He began his fire service career in 1976 as a full-time firefighter for the Bridgeview Fire Department.
He served in numerous positions and ranks within the Department including serving as Fire Chief from April 1995 through November 2006.
retired from the Bridgeview Fire Department
with 30 years of service.
As Fire Chief he was the MABAS-IL representative for Division 21 and served as both the Vice President and President for Division 21.
After 18 months of retirement he accepted and was appointed to the position of Fire Chief of the Oak Forest Fire Department.
earned a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Fire Science Management from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale
and has completed coursework at the National Fire Academy
He is certified as a Fire Officer III in the State of Illinois and is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) in the State of Illinois.
