Fr. Terry Keehan
Fr. Terry Keehan is pastor of St. Matthias and Transfiguration Parishes.
He attended St. James Elementary School and St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL.
He earned an NCAA basketball scholarship to the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he lettered in varsity basketball four years ('74-'78) and earned a BS in Education/Speech Pathology (1979) and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication (1980).
Fr. Keehan was a Sales Representative for Stuart Pharmaceuticals from 1980 until 1982.
He attended Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, IL. and served as Deacon at St. Ailbe Parish on the southeast side of Chicago.
He was ordained a priest in 1986 and served as Associate Pastor at St. Thaddeus Parish for two years.
While at St. Thaddeus he was appointed Associate Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese and served in that capacity until 1993 when Cardinal Joseph Bernadin appointed him Co-Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Chicago, a position he held until 1994.
While working in the Vocation Office, Fr. Keehan lived in residence at St. John the Cross Parish in Western Springs, IL. From 1994 until 1998 Fr. Keehan was the Associate Pastor at Queen of Angels Parish in Chicago.
has directed parish missions, retreats, talks, days of reflection and workshops nationally, but particularly in the Midwest.
has a special interest in spirituality, career and vocation issues for adults in their 20's, 30's and 40's.
