(Photos courtesy of Mansfield St. Peter) Terry Heringhaus was born in 1938 to Robert and Maxine Ross in Evanston, Ill., and moved to Mansfield in 1943. Mrs. Heringhaus has volunteered many years in the school buildings as a cafeteria worker, Easter and Christmas bake sale volunteer, education commission member, development board member, concession stand volunteer, eucharistic minister, Stephen minister, funeral luncheon volunteer, past president of the Catholic Women's Club and Miss Ohio Scholarship Program volunteer. Dr. Heringhaus has been a lector since 1968, served as pastoral council member, president of the first education commission, public announcer for the Spartan basketball teams, past president of Spartan Boosters, Little League coach and past president of the Mansfield Dental Society. Together the couple visits residents of the nursing home, are involved in the adult retreat team, volunteer for Feed the Needy and summer festivals and host small prayer groups.
