has lived in the Pend Oreille Valley since 1991.
has been very involved in community and schools from scouts, PTO, Booster Club
, PRYAA and the like with her
Since they graduated, she
has focused more on service groups.
She has been at the Priest River Times for 15 years and is the Managing Editor.
A sometimes trying, but rewarding job!
One where she
is helping preserve history and has the opportunity to help the community with communication and exposure for all the good that happens in our area.
The Times has been awarded the Idaho media award for help with Special Olympics and also the Idaho media award from the American Legion.
She has been Newport/Priest River Rotary Club president and is currently president elect and also the Interact Club advisor, Lioness President and currently a Lion and is the junior high Leo's Club advisor, Past chair and current co-chair of the POV Relay for Life, Bonner Community Hospice volunteer, founding member of the PRIDE Community Aces, on the board for the Priest River Ministries Advocates for Women and chair for the annual "A Community That Cares" luncheon and fashion show that benefits the women's shelter, on the committee and judge's chair for the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program, past winner (2007) of the Gary Burroughs Award, and was the 2010 Priest River Citizen of the Year.
is married, has four children and six grandchildren and spoils them as much as possible.
