Teri will regularly post about, well . . . about whatever is on her mind at the time!More likely of a look at the world through the eyes of hers, not the ears.Be they rants or raves.
All stuff except the process of web design, are done as if were she on the stage doing an improv - no editing, plans, or such.Pardon the spelling and grammatical errors. Some random thoughts, too.She does not have ample time to sit down and ruminate, not to mention the process of recoding from ASL to written English. Will do a lot of freestyle writing -nothing like formal letters or research papers!
She is privileged to have a wide range of visitors and she comes to appreciate them all.Feel free to contact her [contact-form] or make a comment in her journal.
Anyway . . .
Born in Maryland, Teri Sentelle has spent her life bridging the gap between the Deaf and Hearing worlds. As a teacher, Teri has worked ceaselessly expanding the knowledge and experiences for her students, others, and herself.
She received her Bachelors degree in Television, Film, & Photography and Masters degree in Educational Technology/Instructional Design/Multimedia from Gallaudet University, plus 30 credits in Deaf Education and Administration/Supervision.In her youth she acted in films, participated in many sports including triathlon and rugby, and traveled extensively.
Teri had skillfully mastered the fine line between the Deaf and Hearing worlds as a teacher of several schools. She had served as a faculty in the highly rated Fairfax County VA Public School System and at Towson State University, and as an adjunct faculty teaching three to four courses each semester in the Television, Photography, and Digital Media Department at Gallaudet University.
Of late, she teaches Photography, Web Design, and Yearbook at California School for the Deaf, Riverside for the fifth year.
Her love for teaching ASL, multi-media, graphic design, TV/film, web design, and photography has enriched the lives of hundreds of high school students and undergraduates.
Teri has a special interest - wine tasting.
Teri's knowledge and pursuit of wines blossomed after she met and married Bill who had earned his living as a chef and restaurateur.
Together they have explored the world of food & wine, and travel throughout many regions of the Americas including South, California, Virginia, New England, and Washington.
In the recent years, Teri had visited the Central Coast of California, specifically Paso Robles, to review some of the emerging vineyards and wines, focusing on the award-winning, brilliant and bountiful reds that dominate the region.
Teri has been sharing her experience in wine appreciation with a lot of people and have arranged many wine tasting events for several years in both Metro DC area and New York City. Many attendees claim that Teri actually sparked their interest in wine and finally understood how to enjoy drinking fine wine.
After an evening of food, wine and conversation at her wine tasting events, you will always leave having not only nourished your body, but soul, as well.
Teri's strength, beauty and poetic use of ASL add a dimension to her lectures and presentations that make her a joy to watch.

Teri, I realized that you and this person do not know each other. She told you started working at CSDR the year after she left.So you only "know" her via her comments. While she had negative experience at CSDR, she is not a negative person. What she said on your blog was simply saying that not everyone have your savviness and that is not negative. She did say you are fortunate to be gifted with the ability to nagiviate through computer jargons.
