Anyway . . . Born in Maryland, Teri Sentelle has spent her life bridging the gap between the Deaf and Hearing worlds.As a teacher, Teri has worked ceaselessly expanding the knowledge and experiences for her students, others, and herself. She received her Bachelors degree in Television, Film, & Photography and Masters degree in Educational Technology/Instructional Design/Multimedia from Gallaudet University, plus 30 credits in Deaf Education and Administration/Supervision.
acted in films, participated in many sports including triathlon and rugby, and traveled extensively. Teri
had skillfully mastered the fine line between the Deaf and Hearing worlds as a teacher of several schools.She had served as a faculty in the highly rated Fairfax County VA Public School System and at Towson State University, and as an adjunct faculty teaching three to four courses each semester in the Television, Photography, and Digital Media Department at Gallaudet University. Of late, she teaches Photography, Web Design, and Yearbook at California School for the Deaf, Riverside for the fifth year. Her
love for teaching ASL, multi-media, graphic design, TV/film, web design, and photography has enriched the lives of hundreds of high school students and undergraduates. Teri
has a special interest - wine tasting.
Teri's knowledge and pursuit of wines blossomed after she
met and married Bill who had earned his
living as a chef and restaurateur.
Together they have explored the world of food & wine, and travel throughout many regions of the Americas including South, California, Virginia, New England, and Washington.
In the recent years, Teri
had visited the Central Coast of California, specifically Paso Robles, to review some of the emerging vineyards and wines, focusing on the award-winning, brilliant and bountiful reds that dominate the region. Teri
has been sharing her
experience in wine appreciation with a lot of people and have arranged many wine tasting events for several years in both Metro DC area and New York City.Many attendees claim that Teri
actually sparked their interest in wine and finally understood how to enjoy drinking fine wine.
After an evening of food, wine and conversation at her
wine tasting events, you will always leave having not only nourished your body, but soul, as well.
Teri's strength, beauty and poetic use of ASL add a dimension to her
lectures and presentations that make her
a joy to watch.
