TERESA DOMZAL NAMED DEAN OF SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT AT GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY
FAIRFAX , Va.---Internationally known scholar of postmodern consumer culture and international advertising , Teresa J. Domzal has been named dean of George Mason University's School of Management.

has the drive and breadth of mission to move the School of Management to the level required to meet the needs of the new century.Under her
direction , the school has already consolidated its programs and set a vigorous new direction..Domzal has served as a professor of marketing at George Mason since 1981
.She has been interim dean of the School of Management since September 1997
The School of Management
was created in 1997 when the university brought together its School of Business Administration and Graduate Business Institute.Shortly after this restructuring , Domzal
was named interim dean.
leadership , the school has pursued its mission and set a strategy for future development.In response to regional needs , the school is expanding educational programs for working professionals and strengthening undergraduate education.
Currently , the School of Management
boasts an enrollment of approximately 3 , 400 undergraduate and graduate students.Bachelor of science degrees in the areas of accounting , decision sciences and management information systems , finance , management and marketing are available to students.At the graduate level , degrees are offered in technology management and business administration , including an executive MBA.
While at George Mason , Domzal
has taught courses in the marketing , advertising and promotional strategy fields and continued her
scholarly work , publishing in numerous journals and presenting at many national and international conferences.Fellowship awards have allowed her
to lecture at universities throughout the world.She has served as a visiting associate professor at Bond University in Queensland , Australia , and as a guest lecturer at the Copenhagen School of Management and the University of Odense in Denmark , and Erasmus University in Rotterdam
.She also has extensive consulting experience in both government and private sectors , including Marriott Corp. and the Eastman Kodak Co.
