Ted MiltenbergerTed Miltenberger has worked in theater education for more than 20 years.He has established theater curricula in Madison, WI, Milan, Italy and Paris, France, where he now heads the theater department at the American School of Paris.He is concurrently director of the Encore! summer theatre program, which he founded in 1995.Ted is also a co-founder of ISTA, the International Schools Theatre Association, a past president now continuing to serve on its Executive Council and hosting and participating in ISTA theater festivals, workshops and symposia throughout the world.For the past ten years, he has worked with Michigan State University to develop a curriculum applying ensemble techniques to the classroom, with an emphasis on international education.
Ensemble-building relies on games and exercises used in theater work to build the trust, cooperation and interaction that engenders more effective learning and collegial teamwork.Ted
also administers MSU's
masters degree program in Valbonne, France and participates in international educational conferences in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.He holds a B.A. from Ball State University and an M.A. from MSU.
