Ted Cathey of Accurate Landscapes will demonstrate techniques of using rock work in the garden on Saturday, June 21st in the Demo Garden at our Learn-By-Doing Session (8:30-11:30 a.m.). Ted's demonstration will begin at 9:30 a.m.Ted CatheyCo-President Ted Cathey is a native Texan, born and raised in Hamilton, Texas, who currently resides in North Austin.Ted owns Accurate Landscapes and specializes in Xeriscape and ecological landscape design and installation.He holds a degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science degree from Tarleton State University.Prior to coming to Austin, Ted worked as a manager and consultant in land and ranch management, cattle breeding, and commercial organic vegetable production.Ted is a member of Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership, Austin Green Builders, and is an eagle scout in the Boy Scouts of America.Ted's goals as co-president of the Xeriscape Garden Club are to use his knowledge and expertise to help others learn the value of xeriscape gardening and permaculture techniques through informational meetings and events, and hands-on involvement in the xeriscape demonstration garden at the Zilker Garden Center. I look forward to serving as Co-President with Ted in 1997.
