Amy Cameron is a partner in Cameron Pictures Inc., the independent production company created with her sister Tassie Cameron.
An award-winning journalist, author and television executive, Cameron was the Executive in Charge of Production at CBC TV Drama for the critically acclaimed BOOK OF NEGROES (which won nine Canadian Screen Awards and an NAACP award in 2016). She also oversaw the ratings giant HEARTLAND and shepherded the eight-part limited series SHOOT THE MESSENGER through development and production. In addition to her previous work as a comedy production executive at CBC (LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE, INSECURITY, Gavin Crawford's WILD WILD WEST), Cameron worked as the Head of Development at Vérité Films and was also the co-creater and writer on CBC's WILD ROSES. Cameron is a National Newspaper Award-winning journalist and author of Playing with Matches: Misadventures in Dating (2005). Cameron is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, has a BFA from Concordia University and a diploma from a very fancy fashion design school in Paris, France.

Tassie CameronTassie Cameron A 1999 Canadian Film Centre Writer Resident and Graduate of the Professional Screenwriting Program, Tassie just finished working as a story editor and writer on the first season of CBC's new prime-time one-hour drama, "Tom Stone".Tassie is co-creator and writer of "ESP" - a teen series in development with CTV and Landscape Entertainment.She co-wrote the pilot episode of "Wasaga Beach" - a new series in development with Global and Insight Entertainment.She has also written for the series "Paradise Falls" (Showcase) and "Singles Court" (syndication).Tassie's short film script, "Chez Amore," won the Bronze medal for Original Short Drama at Worldfest Houston.The film has played at numerous festivals, including Palm Springs and Yorktown.She has written for Shift Magazine, and is also a regular comic commentator for CBC Radio's "Definitely Not The Opera."From 1997-99, Tassie was Manager of Post Production at HBO NYC, HBO's feature film division, supervising award-winning films like Subway Stories and A Lesson Before Dying.Before going corporate, she post-supervised Wayne Wang's Chinese Box, Mira Nair's Kama Sutra, and post-coordinated the Darren Star/CBS television series "Central Park West."While in New York completing her Masters in Film & Cinema Studies at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Tassie produced, directed and edited 10-20 Berlin, a documentary on bike-messenger subculture for the CBC.She began her graduate study in film at the Sorbonne in Paris, and has an Honours degree in English from the University of Toronto.Tassie is represented by Lesley Harrison, at Harrison Artist Management.
