Ms. Owens is an attorney with extensive experience who joined Kucker & Bruh, LLP in August, 2011.
areas of concentration include commercial and residential real estate transactions and disputes, including administrative law proceedings, landlord/tenant law and general real estate litigation.
represents clients in civil actions in the New York Supreme Court
and Civil Court regarding a multitude of issues concerning commercial and residential real estate, including, for example, breach of contract litigation, disputes regarding non-primary residence, sublet and assignment, and succession.
practice areas also include matters relating to Mitchell-Lama housing companies, HPD hearings (concerning New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development
(HPD) matters) and Article 78 proceedings.

Prior to joining Kucker & Bruh, LLP, Ms. Owens was employed by a New York firm which advised condominiums and cooperatives in all aspects of their operations.
She previously served as a felony trial assistant with the Kings County District Attorney's Office, where she successfully prosecuted numerous felony jury trials to verdict.
is admitted to practice in all trial and appellate courts in New York, including the New York State Supreme Court
and the Civil Court of the City of New York.
She also is a member of the bar of each of the following federal courts: the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Ms. Owens received her undergraduate degree from George Washington University (B.A. 1997), and her graduate Juris Doctorate degree from Syracuse University College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2004).

represented the respondent premises owner (Court on review in an Article 78 proceeding upheld the HPD's
administrative determination which had denied a petitioner's claim for public housing succession rights concerning a Mitchell-Lama apartment in which his
deceased brother was a resident; petitioner failed to prove co-residency; evidence introduced by respondent showed the petitioner failed to reside in the Mitchell-Lama apartment during the required two year co-residency period).
