Working with Tammy was a pleasure, she made it easy for me, she is the best.
Clearwater, FL
I am so pleased with how Tammy has helped me get my home and life back into order.
It's all thanks to Tammy with Goodbye Mess, she is a miracle worker!
St. Petersburg, FL
Tammy from Goodbye Mess did a wonderful job in helping me organize. I was trying to incorporate many of my parent's things into my home and was totally overwhelmed. She didn't MAKE me get rid of anything, but showed me how to manage it and to find a home for everything. I would highly recommend her.
Now, Tammy is a person who really understands that. She understands that it's not as easy for us as it is for her. She makes you feel very secure and really does want to make your life easier. She modified her style of organization to fit my comfort level. She constantly made sure that any program we were implementing would truly be useful and easy to maintain. Most of the time we worked together...but boy can this lady fly when she has an hour or two to herself! I cannot say enough about what a great asset Tammy and Goodbye Mess has been to my home. Tammy and Goodbye Mess are a wonderful organization that truly helps you learn what works best for you, organizationally.
Let me tell you...what a difference organization makes in your life! We organized two rooms but the lessons I learned really affected my whole house. Tammy has taught me so many things that have made my life...just better and easier!
Tammy Reinking came into my home and did indeed replace chaos with order. Not only are the closets, cupboards, and drawers clean and organized but the compartments of my mind feel swept out as well. After all those years of coulda, woulda, shoulda but didn't, I'm finally living my dream of an organized house.
Working with Tammy was a useful education in the art of organization. I had read many articles and books but had never really internalized the process. Working side by side with a professional gave me the opportunity to really put so many helpful strategies and principals into practice. Tammy was able to see my home and my possessions through "new eyes", which gave me a whole different way to view things.
I would strongly recommend Tammy Reinking and her company, Goodbye Mess. She had a strong vision of how my house could be transformed into the efficient, attractive home it is today. Tammy's talents and expertise will ensure the success of any organization project she handles in the future.
Tammy offered solutions, showed my how to set up a system I can work with, allowing for future growth and providing an easy way to archive closed files. Tammy was very patient and fun to work with, she tailored the plan to my specific needs, helped me stay focused and on task through completion. I would not have been able to do this alone; thanks to Tammy I now have the tools and confidence to maintain the organization that we achieved!
Tammy Reinking of Goodbye Mess is truly a professional and would be great for any of your organizing needs.
Unmaking A Mess: From The Tampa Tribune, 28 July 2005 [cached]
That's OK because it's Tammy Reinking's "thing," and she has created an entire business from her passion. Her business, Goodbye Mess, is a professional service specializing in residential rearranging.
"I wanted to help people by sharing ways to achieve and maintain organization," Reinking said."Goodbye Mess believes that organization helps save time and money and eliminates stress."
Reinking said many of her clients request her services when there is a change in the household, such as when a spouse or parent dies, children go to college or a baby is on the way.
Sara Ulm, of South Tampa, is expecting her third child in September and has enlisted the help of Reinking to make space in her home for their new addition.
Reinking has worked on all of the rooms in Ulm's house, including consolidating her two daughters' bedrooms into one.
The process of having a room organized begins with an assessment, which Reinking offers free to those who live within a 30-mile radius of her.Reinking then determines the amount of work and hours needed to complete the job and the price. She said Goodbye Mess prices each job by the project rather than by the hour because every room is different.A home office that would take 20 to 24 hours to organize can range from $500 to $800.
After the room is completed, Reinking follows up with her clients on a weekly basis for a month and then returns for a visit after the first month. If something is not working for the household or the clutter has reappeared, Reinking will help reorganize and make adjustments to fit the client's lifestyle.
The professional organizing industry has taken off with the advent of shows such as "Clean Sweep" and "Trading Spaces," Reinking said.Unlike the shows, Reinking does not have a crew to help her with the designing, organizing and building.
Reinking works solo but is looking to hire a staff for her 1-year-old company.
There is no requirement for becoming a professional organizer, but the National Association of Professional Organizers might soon develop a certification test.
Reinking says she loves what she does because, "You get to leave your job with a great sense of satisfaction every day."
"Goodbye Mess believes that organization helps save time and money and eliminates stress."
