Tammy from Goodbye Mess did a wonderful job in helping me organize. I was trying to incorporate many of my parent's things into my home and was totally overwhelmed. She didn't MAKE me get rid of anything, but showed me how to manage it and to find a home for everything. I would highly recommend her.

Now, Tammy is a person who really understands that. She understands that it's not as easy for us as it is for her. She makes you feel very secure and really does want to make your life easier. That's OK because it's Tammy Reinking's "thing," and she has created an entire business from her passion.Her business, Goodbye Mess, is a professional service specializing in residential rearranging.
"I wanted to help people by sharing ways to achieve and maintain organization," Reinking said."Goodbye Mess believes that organization helps save time and money and eliminates stress."
Reinking said many of her clients request her services when there is a change in the household, such as when a spouse or parent dies, children go to college or a baby is on the way.
Sara Ulm, of South Tampa, is expecting her third child in September and has enlisted the help of Reinking to make space in her home for their new addition.

Reinking has worked on all of the rooms in Ulm's house, including consolidating her two daughters' bedrooms into one.

The process of having a room organized begins with an assessment, which Reinking offers free to those who live within a 30-mile radius of her.Reinking then determines the amount of work and hours needed to complete the job and the price.She said Goodbye Mess prices each job by the project rather than by the hour because every room is different.A home office that would take 20 to 24 hours to organize can range from $500 to $800.
After the room is completed, Reinking follows up with her clients on a weekly basis for a month and then returns for a visit after the first month.If something is not working for the household or the clutter has reappeared, Reinking will help reorganize and make adjustments to fit the client's lifestyle.
The professional organizing industry has taken off with the advent of shows such as "Clean Sweep" and "Trading Spaces," Reinking said.Unlike the shows, Reinking does not have a crew to help her with the designing, organizing and building.
Reinking works solo but is looking to hire a staff for her 1-year-old company.
There is no requirement for becoming a professional organizer, but the National Association of Professional Organizers might soon develop a certification test.
