TAMI GOLD is a professor at Hunter College, a filmmaker, visual artist and public speaker. Her work has consistently been at the forefront of social justice, focusing on racism, gender and sexual identity. For over 20 years Tami has produced and directed award-winning documentaries -- PUZZLES: When Hate Came to Town (with David Pavlosky), a documentary about a hate crime in a LGBTQ bar; RFK IN THE LAND OF APARTHEID; OUT AT WORK Lesbian and Gay Men on the Job; JUGGLING GENDER Politics, Sex and Identity; PASSIONATE POLITICS The Life and Work of Charlotte Bunch; ANOTHER BROTHER and EVERY MOTHER'S SON (with Kelly Anderson).
Tami has presented her films and has been a guest speaker at the MOMA, the Whitney, The Chicago Arts Institute, The Kennedy Center, the American and British Film Institutes, Sundance, Tribeca and The New York Film Festival and in over 150 film festivals worldwide. She is recipient of Rockefeller and Guggenheim fellowships.
