Martin is a 23-year, award-winning editor and producer. Her work includes full-length broadcast documentaries with an emphasis on social and environmental justice concerns for PBS, Turner, and Discovery, Avant Garde 35mm shorts, a Fortune 100 branding, commercials, television and news.
Cornerstone projects include the Emmy®-nominated documentary THE DAY MY GOD DIED (Editor and Co-producer); WGA-nominated documentary WITHOUT LYING DOWN (Editor and Associate Producer); and two Avant Garde 35mm shorts, LIMINAL and CIGAR AT THE BEACH (Editor and Co-producer) recognized with over 100 festival awards and honorable mentions.
Martin served as Director of the Film/TV Editing Program at a Los Angeles based post-production school, is an industry educational post technologies workflow consultant, a 15-year developer of curricula for both professional and academic application, and a 20-year Avid Certified Instructor (Professional Grade) with an equal two decades as classroom teacher of the art and craft of editorial.

She dedicates half of her professional hours to instruction and consulting, a commitment that extends to include the entire portfolio of Avid editing courses as well as a small slate of instructional models designed to simulate the daily trials and pitfalls of feature/documentary editing.
