YELLOW SPRINGS, OH, May 31, 2006 -- Takashi Teruya, president of YSI's subsidiary Nanotech/YSI, has accepted increased responsibility for developing the monitoring systems business in the Asia Pacific region.
His new title is Asia Pacific Systems Business Development Manager, which covers a wide area, from Japan to Australia to the Middle East.For each region, Teruya will lead projects that will design customer solutions for environmental monitoring applications, using YSI multiparameter water quality equipment, Endeco/YSI buoys and data retrieval systems, SonTek/YSI water velocity equipment, and other items as needed.

Teruya holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Musashi Institute of Technology and Computer Science at Nihon Engineering College.He has experience as a sales engineer in ocean development.In 1986 he established Nanotech Inc., which develops integrated systems for the marine environment and deep underwater research markets.
