is blessed among many to have a leader as the most Honorable Chief Justice, Bishop T.L. Westbrook
As we reflect on the troublesome and chaotic time in which we live; where we are faced with terrorism, crime is rampant, and war is ever present, it is good to know God has placed in our midst, a leader who is constant in his
walk with God, and consistent in a lifestyle of holiness; someone who has a word for us.
Bishop T.L. Westbrook
had an appointment with destiny and made his
debut into the world on May 17, 1924.He
attended grade school in Pickens, Arkansas.
At age nine, he
first step toward God's
purpose for his
life and accepted Jesus Christ as his
Bishop attended high school in McGhee, Arkansas.After high school, he
did extended studies at AM&N College
in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.He later resumed his educational Pursuits and was conferred with his Doctorate of Divinity from Universal Bible Institute in Alamo, Tennessee.
Most recently, he
was bestowed his
Doctorate at Northwest College
in Kirkland, Washington.
In March 1943, Bishop Westbrook
answered the call to serve our country through the United States Army
...Bishop Westbrook has been a member of the "Grand Old" Church of God in Christ for fifty nine (59) years, and has made an impeccable impression on Washington State Jurisdiction, (and still does).He served as District Superintendent, State Chairman of Elder's Council, State Y.P.W.W. President, and Chairman of Finance which ultimately led him to the elevated appointment of Prelate of this jurisdiction.He
was consecrated to the Bishopric in 1977.
From henceforth, when we think of Washington State Jurisdiction Headquarters, we will remember Bishop Westbrook
.Bishop continues to progress in both the local and national church serving as past Chairman of the National Church of God in Christ Tithing Committee and elected Chairman of the Judiciary Board in 1992 where he currently serves as Chief Justice.His
many successes and experiences has afforded him opportunities to provide practical advice to others.He is an active member of Promise Keepers, Honorary Board member of Northwest College in Kirkland, and the Honorary Advisor to the Tacoma Ministerial Alliance.
In the midst of his
many responsibilities, we pray that Bishop will seize the opportunity to leisurely enjoy his
favorite pass time of fishing and reading.Thank you Bishop for your courage and contribution to Washington State Jurisdiction
